Job Details: Onsite Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Salary Range: $105-$140k, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design electronic circuits for aviation computers, test equipment, and harnesses.
  • Evaluate design choices to ensure compliance with product functional requirements, environmental compatibility, and manufacturing lifecycle. Generate comprehensive reports and documentation supporting design decisions.
  • Develop statements of work for contracted services, such as board layout, and effectively manage contractors throughout project execution.
  • Create detailed test procedures and reports for electronic hardware, ensuring product reliability and performance.
  • Offer engineering insight to Program Management and Sales and Marketing teams for new business proposals and customer support activities.
  • Provide support to manufacturing and repair departments, particularly for legacy products.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in digital design operating in the hundreds of MHz range, utilizing ARM Cortex or similar-scale microcontrollers.
  • Proficiency in analog computer design and circuit analysis.
  • Experience designing for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and environmental qualification standards such as RTCA DO-160G, MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-704F, and MIL-STD-461G.
  • Experience designing for safety-critical electrical systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Schematic Capture and PCB layout with Altium Designer.
  • Familiarity with bare-metal embedded C to support software engineers in driver development.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Python, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Subversion.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited school.
  • 7+ years of experience with responsibilities comparable to those required.
  • Experience performing as team lead preferred.
