Qualification Test Engineer

Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop qualification test plans, procedures, and reports based on the defined requirements for new and existing products.
  • Execute qualification tests on new and existing products using a wide range of temperature, vibration, acceleration, and electromagnetic compatibility equipment.
  • Maintain detailed lists of equipment required to perform qualification test, serving as the subject matter expert for Safe Flight’s qualification test capability.
  • Develop and meet schedules for qualification programs to meet program timetables.
  • Coordinate calibration and routine check of test equipment.
  • Travel to test facilities and oversee testing where Safe Flight cannot perform qualification testing in-house.
  • Create and maintain test environments for both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes of defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose effective solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of technical issues, solutions, and testing processes to facilitate communication within the team and support continuous improvement.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Previous experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with various testing techniques, especially EMC.
  • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulations.
  • Great troubleshooting skills and an analytical mindset.
  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in electrical engineering or similar field, or 3-5 years in the role.
