Job Details: Hourly rate $23-$30 per hour- Salary will be commensurate with experience
Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 4:15 p.m. in office.
Job Summary:
As an Incoming Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for inspection of incoming electronic material at Safe Flight. Your role will involve inspecting internally/externally manufactured material in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, work orders and/or purchase orders to ensure conformity and product quality meets Safe Flight standards. You will report to the Quality Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work from drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and general instructions to verify a variety of vendor supplied components and subassemblies against required quality standards.
Inspect components for conformance to ensure product conformity to the most recent revision.
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings and parts lists.
Electronics testing of components and assemblies may be required.
Reviews paperwork accompanying inspected items for appropriateness and completeness. Perform in-house calibrations and coordinate the dispatch of equipment requiring calibration.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience with printed circuit board assemblies, electrical and electro-mechanical assembly components.
Experience in lot traceability and reviewing certifications and process paperwork.
Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and measurement tools.
Familiarity with quality standards and regulations relevant to the industry (e.g. ISO9001/AS9100, AS9102 FAI, J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 or other industry-specific standards).
Proficient in using measurement and testing equipment, such as calipers, gauges, digital multi-meters, etc.
Familiarity with visual inspection of wire harnesses, circuitry and electrical assemblies.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
Computer skills for data entry, report generation, and document management.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience; technical certifications or additional education in quality assurance or related fields is a plus.
